Reasons You Shouldn't Use iPhone Spy Programs

iPhone Spy programs are relatively cheap, easy to find, and easy to use. They are installed on modern phones, Bluetooth enabled devices, or laptop computers. They track a number of things, from text messages and phone calls to location and web browsing. But while these programs are readily available for personal use, that doesn't mean they should be used.

Many would view the use of such a program as an invasion of privacy. Their mobile calls, text messages, and emails are for them and may include information they don't want anyone else to know. They should only have to share such information if they choose too. By accessing this information, you are taking that choice away from them.

Placing spy software on someone's phone without telling them you are doing so can cause emotional problems between you and your friends and family. They may feel they aren't being trusted, or they may no longer trust you when they find out about it. Unless you are willing to let them spy on your phone calls and other information, it isn't right to expect them to be okay with you spying on theirs.

People in romantic relationships may want to think twice about putting such software on their partner or spouse's mobile. Not only can this be seen as mistrustful and even stalkerish behavior, it can hurt the level of trust between the couple. One person may use it because they suspect their partner of doing something wrong. But even if they are proven right, the other person will see what they were doing as wrong as well.

Some information given out on a cell phone may be innocent but secret, such as plans for a surprise party or details of a gift. There is no real reason a person needs to learn that by spying. And if they are caught they may hurt their relationship over nothing very serious.

The laws in different areas will vary and in some it may be illegal to spy on another person's cell phone activity. If you are caught doing so you may face having to pay fines or even spend time in jail. Your own cell phone privileges may be revoked for a certain period of time or permanently, depending on the severity of your crime and the laws for the area you are in.

One of the worst possible side effects of using spy software and being caught is the possibility that no one will trust you any longer. People may keep you at arm's length, never tell you anything, and hide their cell phones and other devices from you.

In most cases use of such a program wouldn't be recommended. However, there may be some occasions where it seems warranted. Parents of children and teenagers with cell phones may choose to use such software to keep track of who their kids are speaking with, what they are talking about, and where they are going when they are not under direct supervision.
